Privacy Policy
Last updated: 12 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data Baggiva Stores collects when you shop at baggiva.com or contact us, why we collect it, who sees it, and the rights you have under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023.
1. Introduction
Baggiva Stores (“Baggiva”, “we”, “us”) is a Nigerian online store selling men’s footwear at baggiva.com and delivering nationwide. We appreciate your trust and take the protection of your personal data seriously.
This policy applies to baggiva.com, to your orders, and to any contact you make with us through email, WhatsApp or our social media pages. By using the website, placing an order or contacting us, you confirm that you have read this policy and agree to how we handle your data as described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the website.
Baggiva is the data controller for the personal data described below. Our business name is Baggiva Stores, and we operate as an online store. You can reach us at info@baggiva.com or on WhatsApp at +234 703 706 4334.
2. Data we collect
Account data
If you create an account on baggiva.com, we store your name, email address, an encrypted password and any other details you add to your profile. You can view, edit or delete this information from your account at any time. Website administrators can also see and edit it. You can also check out as a guest, in which case we keep only your order details.
Order and delivery data
When you place an order we collect your name, phone number, email address, delivery address and the items you ordered, including size and colour. We need this to confirm your order, deliver it anywhere in Nigeria and handle any return or exchange.
Payment data
Payments are processed by Paystack. You enter your payment details on Paystack’s secure checkout, not on our servers. We never see or store your full card number, PIN or CVV. We receive only confirmation of the payment: its status, amount, transaction reference and the payment channel used.
Messages and enquiries
When you contact us by email, through the WhatsApp “Chat with Seller” button or on social media, we receive what you send us, such as your name, phone number and the content of your message. WhatsApp and the social platforms handle those messages under their own policies. We use your messages to answer you and support your order, and not for marketing unless you have agreed to receive it.
Newsletter and free downloads
If you subscribe to our updates or request a free guide, we collect your name and email address to send you the file and, if you opted in, occasional news and offers. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
Reviews and comments
If you leave a product review or comment, we collect what the form asks for, plus your IP address and browser details to help detect spam.
Website usage data
When you visit baggiva.com we automatically collect technical data: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and the page that sent you to us, such as an Instagram or Facebook ad. How we use cookies to collect this is covered in section 4.
3. How and why we use your data

5. Who has access and who we share data with
Within Baggiva, your personal data is seen only by the people who need it to run the store: our owners, the staff who handle orders and customer support, and website administrators. We do not sell or rent your data. We share limited data with the service providers below so that we can deliver what you ordered.

Some of these providers store or process data outside Nigeria. We use only providers that protect your data to a standard comparable to Nigerian law. Each provider has its own privacy policy, and we do not control how it handles data it collects itself.
6. Embedded content and third-party websites
Pages on baggiva.com may include embedded content, such as videos, social media feeds or the WhatsApp chat button. Embedded content behaves exactly as if you had visited the other website. Those sites may set their own cookies, collect data about you and track how you interact with the content, especially if you are logged in to them. Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and YouTube each have their own privacy policies, which we do not control.
We may also link to third-party websites. We do not screen them for privacy or security, and we are not responsible for how they collect or use your data. Our social media icons and sharing links do not connect you to those platforms unless you click them. Please read the privacy policy of every site you visit through a link.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep personal data only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires.
| Data | How long we keep it |
|---|---|
| Order and payment records | As long as tax and accounting law requires, up to six years |
| Account data | While your account is active; deleted when you ask us to |
| Messages and enquiries | As long as needed to resolve your request and any follow-up, then deleted or anonymised |
| Newsletter subscription | Until you unsubscribe |
| Reviews and comments | Until you ask us to remove them |
| Analytics data | Up to 14 months |
8. Security measures
We protect your data with the following measures:
- The whole website runs over SSL/HTTPS, which encrypts the data sent between your device and our servers.
- Card and bank details are entered only on Paystack’s encrypted checkout and never reach our servers.
- Access to the website’s admin area is limited to people who need it, and we keep WordPress and its plugins updated.
If a data breach puts your rights and freedoms at risk, we will act at once to secure the system, notify the Nigeria Data Protection Commission within 72 hours as the law requires, and tell affected customers without undue delay. If passwords may be affected, we will reset them.
9. Your rights
Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you have the right to:
- Be told how your data is used, which this policy explains
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Have inaccurate or incomplete data corrected
- Ask us to erase your data
- Ask us to restrict how we use your data
- Object to how we use your data, including for direct marketing
- Receive your data in a portable, commonly used format
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it
- Not be subject to a decision based only on automated processing that significantly affects you
To use any of these rights, email info@baggiva.com with the subject “Privacy request”, or message us on WhatsApp at +234 703 706 4334. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, and we will reply within one month.
We cannot erase data we must keep for tax, legal or security reasons, such as order and payment records, or data we need to deliver an order that is still open. If you ask us to erase all of your data, we will no longer be able to process orders or give after-sales support for you.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
10. Children and legal disclosure
Children
Baggiva is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
Legal disclosure
We will release your data to a third party only where the law requires it, for example under a court order or a lawful request from the Nigeria Data Protection Commission or a law enforcement agency, or where we believe in good faith that it is needed to deal with fraud or protect our legal rights. Where the law allows, we will tell you before we do so. Any disclosure will comply with Nigerian law.
11. Changes to this policy and contact details
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page with a new date at the top and, for significant changes, let you know by email or a notice on the website. If you keep using baggiva.com after an update, you accept the updated policy.
